View and complete assigned activities during your shifts using the Shifton mobile app.


What Is This?

Activities are specific tasks or duties assigned to you within a shift. For example, a retail worker might have activities like “stock shelves” or “clean display area” during their shift. The mobile app lets you view your assigned activities, see their scheduled times, and mark them as started or completed as you work through your shift.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Viewing Your Activities

Open the Shifton app.

Navigate to the Tasks section from the app menu.

Tap on a task to open its detail card.

Working Through a Task

Open the task from the Tasks list.

Read the description and review the checklist items.

Tap each checklist item to mark it as done as you work through it.

Checking In

Tap Check In to record when you begin working on the task (if this option is available for the task).

The check-in time is recorded and visible to your manager.

Attaching a File or Photo

Tap the attachment button within the task.

Choose to take a photo or select an existing file from your gallery.

The attachment is saved to the task as proof of completion.

Completing a Task

Once all checklist items are done, tap Finish.

The task status changes to Completed.

Your manager can view the completed task, checklist results, and any attachments.

FAQ

Q: Can I skip a task?
A: Tasks are assigned by your manager. If you cannot complete one, contact your manager rather than skipping it.

Q: Can I create tasks from the mobile app?
A: No. Tasks are created and assigned by managers in the web version. The mobile app is for viewing and completing assigned tasks only.

Q: The Tasks section is not visible in the app — why?
A: Ensure that tasks have been assigned to you by your manager, and that the Activities feature is included in your company’s plan.

Q: What if I start a task late?
A: The app records the actual check-in time. Late starts may be visible to your manager in reports.
