Dynamic reports

The classic Reports page provides eleven ready-made reports with a predefined set of data. Dynamic reports is a builder: you choose the period, the filters and the grouping yourself, get the slice you need and save it so that you do not have to assemble it again.

The page opens from the left menu: Reports (new).

Two builders

BuilderWhich data it uses
Shifts analyticsShifts: the number, durations, confirmations, late arrivals, absences, costs and payouts
Activities analyticsActivities inside shifts. Available only when the Activity module is enabled

The set of builders depends on the company’s work mode: in field service mode there will be Tasks analytics instead of these two.

How to build a report

Click the builder you need — a working area opens with the filters at the top and the table below.

  • Date range — the period to calculate for. This is the only mandatory condition.
  • Add filter — additional conditions to narrow down the selection (by project, schedule, employee and so on).
  • Apply — recalculate the report. The table will not be updated until you click it.
  • Period grouping — which intervals to split the rows by: month, week, day.
  • Group by — the second level of splitting: for example, by project or by employee.
  • Search — find a row in the finished table.
  • Decimal hours — a time format toggle: 1.5 instead of 1:30. This is convenient when the data is going into a spreadsheet or a payroll calculation.

Ready-made periods

The Date range field does not have to be filled in manually: clicking it opens a calendar with a list of ready-made options — Today, Yesterday, Tomorrow, This week, Last week, Next week, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month, Last month, Next month and others. This is usually enough; the period is set manually when a non-standard interval is needed.

The last row of every group shows the subtotal for it, and the overall total is shown below.

What it looks like with real data

Below is the shifts analytics for 2026 grouped by month and by project:

A table like this shows at once the volume (the number of shifts and the total hours), the quality (the confirmation rate, late arrivals, absences) and the money (the cost, bonuses, penalties) — in a single slice, without switching between reports.

What can be counted

This is the main difference from the classic reports: more than fifty metrics are available in the shifts analytics, and you decide yourself which ones to look at. They are divided into groups:

  • Shifts: the number of shifts, unique employees, unique projects, shifts per employee.
  • Duration: total, average, minimum and maximum, planned and the deviation from the planned one, night and holiday hours.
  • Breaks: the number, the total time, the average per shift, missed breaks.
  • Confirmations: confirmed shifts and the confirmation rate.
  • Late arrivals: the number, the rate, the total and average lateness time, the maximum lateness.
  • Early departures: the number, the total and average time.
  • Absences: the number and the rate.
  • Costs: the total cost, the average, minimum and maximum cost of a shift, the average cost of an hour, night, holiday, weekend and overtime costs.
  • Bonuses and penalties: the amounts, the number, the average and maximum values.
  • Payouts: advances and the final amount payable, including the average per shift.

Unnecessary columns are removed with the settings button — the gear icon above the table opens the Manage columns panel. The list of columns appears there only after the report has been built: there is nothing to configure in an empty report.

Chart

The chart button above the table opens a graph based on the same data — this is not just “another view” but a separate panel with settings:

  • Chart type — the type of chart, for example a bar chart.
  • X axis — what to plot horizontally. The Combined (all) option merges the groupings into a single label, for example “2026-02 / active”.
  • Y axis (metrics) — which metrics to plot. You can select several at once.
  • Max items — a limit on the number of elements so that the graph does not turn into a picket fence. 0 means no limit.
  • Toggles: Stacked (stack the bars on top of each other), Legend (the legend), Value labels (value labels), Category labels (category labels), Grid (the grid).

The finished graph is downloaded with the Download PNG and Download SVG buttons — the second format does not lose quality when scaled, which makes it convenient for presentations.

Saving and exporting

There are four buttons above the table:

ButtonWhat it does
SaveSaves the report with the current filters and grouping
ExportDownloads the data as a file
SettingsThe choice of columns and display parameters
ChartSwitching between the table and the graph

When saving, a window opens where three things have to be set:

  • Title — the name the report will appear under in the list.
  • Description — a description: what this report is for and what to look at in it. This helps colleagues a lot.
  • Who can see the report“Only me” or “Everyone in this company”.

A saved report appears in the list on the main page of the section with the Title, Description and Visibility columns and a set of actions. A private report is marked as personal.

There are two actions in the report row: open (the eye icon) and delete (the bin). Deleting asks for confirmation: “The report will be deleted”.

FAQ

Question: How is this different from the regular reports? Answer: The regular reports are eleven ready-made forms with a fixed set of data. Here you set the period, the filters and the grouping yourself, choose the metrics and save the result for reuse.

Question: Is it mandatory to set a date range? Answer: Yes, the period is a mandatory condition for the calculation.

Question: Why didn’t the figures change after I changed a filter? Answer: You need to click Apply. The report does not recalculate itself.

Question: What does the “Decimal hours” toggle do? Answer: It changes the time format: 1.5 instead of 1:30. This is convenient for exporting to spreadsheets and for calculations.

Question: Can unnecessary columns be removed? Answer: Yes, with the settings button above the table — that is where the metrics are chosen.

Question: How many metrics are available? Answer: More than fifty in the shifts analytics — from the number of shifts and the durations to late arrivals, bonuses, penalties and the amount payable.

Question: Can a report be viewed as a graph? Answer: Yes, the chart button switches the view.

Question: How do I share a report with colleagues? Answer: Choose the “Everyone in this company” visibility when saving. A private report is visible only to its author and is marked as personal.

Question: Can the visibility of a saved report be changed? Answer: There is no separate setting in the list — open the report and save it again with the visibility you need.

Question: What happens when a report is deleted? Answer: Only the saved report configuration is deleted; the shifts and the data themselves are not affected. The system will ask for confirmation.

Question: Why don’t I have “Activities analytics”? Answer: It appears only when the Activity module is enabled.

Question: Where do I find these reports in field service? Answer: There is a builder of its own on this same page there — Tasks analytics, with its own task metrics.
