Billing and Pricing

Q: How does Shifton billing work?
A: Shifton uses a module-based pricing model. You pay for the modules you activate, and pricing is typically per employee per month. Your billing dashboard shows your current plan, active modules, and upcoming charges.

Q: Can I try a module before paying?
A: Yes. Most modules include a 30-day free trial (Work Location Control — 10 days). No credit card required. After the trial ends, the module does not auto-disable — an invoice is simply issued.

Q: What happens if I do not pay on time?
A: The company becomes blocked until payment is made. Contact Shifton support for assistance.

Q: Can I cancel a module at any time?
A: Yes, you can deactivate any module at any time. Your access to that module’s features will end when the current billing period concludes.

Employee Limits

Q: Is there a minimum or maximum number of employees?
A: Shifton supports companies of all sizes. There is no strict minimum, and the maximum depends on your plan. Contact Shifton support if you have a very large workforce to discuss enterprise options.

Q: Do I pay for inactive employees?
A: Billing is based on active employees in your account. Deactivated or dismissed employees typically do not count toward your billing.

Data and Export

Q: Can I export my data from Shifton?
A: Yes, Shifton provides export options for various data types including schedules, attendance records, and employee information. Look for the export or download buttons within the relevant sections, or contact support for bulk data exports.

Q: What format is exported data in?
A: Exports are typically available in common formats such as CSV or XLSX, which can be opened in spreadsheet applications.

Language and Localization

Q: What languages does Shifton support?
A: Shifton supports multiple languages. You can change your interface language from your profile settings. The available languages depend on the current localization status of the platform.

Q: Can different employees use different languages?
A: Yes, each employee can set their preferred language independently in their profile. The interface will display in the selected language for each individual user.

Time Zones

Q: How does Shifton handle time zones?
A: Each user can set their own time zone in their profile. Shifton displays all times (shifts, schedules, notifications) in the user’s local time zone. The company can also set a default time zone for new employees.

Q: What if my employees work across multiple time zones?
A: Shifton handles multi-timezone teams by showing each employee their schedule in their own local time. Managers can view the schedule in their time zone while each employee sees it in theirs.

Multi-Company Setup

Q: Can I manage more than one company in Shifton?
A: Yes, a single Shifton account can be associated with multiple companies. You can switch between them using the “Change company” option in the Shifton menu. Each company has completely separate settings, employees, and schedules.

Q: Is data shared between companies?
A: No, each company is fully isolated. Employees, schedules, settings, and files are separate and not shared between companies.

Q: Does Shifton have a mobile app?
A: Yes, Shifton has a mobile app available for both iOS and Android. Employees can view schedules, start and end shifts, submit requests, and receive notifications from their phones.

Q: Is my data secure?
A: Shifton takes data security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is controlled through role-based permissions, and all changes are logged in the Activity Log.
